   Anuradha Vikranth

Anuradha Vikranth is a renowned Bharatanatyam danseuse known for her vibrancy and grace. Over the years, she has broadened her artistic vision, expanded her skills through several innovations and created a niche for herself in the field of dance.

She is the disciple of Guru Smt. Nirupama Rajendra and Guru Smt. Narmada in Bharatanatyam.  She is the direct disciple of Padma Bhushan Guru Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam, learning the "Karanas" and the elements of Natyasastra from the revered Guru.

She has had the privilege to have honed her art through the workshop training received by the well known Guru’s, Guru Sundari Santanam, Guru Veena Murthy Vijay, Guru Prof. C V Chandrasekar, Guru Kalanidhi Narayanan, Guru Priyadarshini Govind, Guru Savithri Jagannath, Guru Sonal Mansingh and Dr. Pappu Venugopala Rao.

  • Anuradha Vikranth, is an ‘A’ graded artist of Indian Doordarshan.

    She holds the Masters Degree in Bharatanatyam from the Sastra University, Tamil Nadu.

    She is a recipient of "FLO Woman of the Future Award” by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry-Ladies Organization (FICCI – Flo). “Yuva Kalasreshta” award from BCKA, “National Vocational Excellence Award” in Bharatanatyam by International Institute of social reforms, New Delhi, ‘Swar Kala Gaurav’ from Saraswati Sangeetha Kalakendra, “Naatya Veda” by Nataraja Music and Dance Academy, Outstanding contribution to the field of Dance awarded by the “Vasundara Centre of Performing Arts”, Mysore to name a few.

    She is currently, the secretary of World Dance Alliance –Karnataka Chapter.

    Going beyond the usual performance-bound lives of most dancers, she also is the co-founder and creative director of ‘Drishti’, an exclusive quarterly magazine on dance and music.

    Anuradha Vikranth, has the credit of Choreographing ‘Janapada Vaibhava’ with 1100 folk artists for the historic Vishwa Kannada Sammelana 2011 held at Belgaum.

    She has choreographed number of dance productions and presented through her dance institute “Drishti Art Centre”.

    She has acted in several Kannada serials.

    Anuradha, with the support and encouragement of her husband T. M. Vikranth (Managing Editor - Drishti), manages Drishti Art Foundation, an organisation incessantly working for promotion and propagation of classical arts. In its 12th edition, ‘Drishti National Dance Festival’ organised by them, has become one of the most admired and popular annual events in India.
